SATURDAY FARMER’S MARKET is a great way to spend a Saturday morning! Vendors, food, and music all make this a vibrant community gathering. The best part, it is only two blocks from A Bungalow on the Bluff! At the corner of Lawrence and Taylor. 9:00 – 1:00. Open April through October only!

GALLERY WALKS are a favorite here in Port Townsend. Occurring the first Saturday of every month, galleries and venues in the downtown waterfront district show off the work of local artists. Informal and enticing, the Gallery Walks encourage exploring the many nooks and crannies of the town’s historic center. A truly unique happening and all you do is show up downtown and start walking!

MARITIME ACTIVIITES not only impact the economy in Port Townsend, but have important cultural and historical significance as well. We are lucky to have one of North America’s School for Wooden Boat Building where you can take classes or just stop in for a visit! The Northwest Maritime Center and  Wooden Boat Foundation at the north of Water Street is totaling worth seeing. Walking through the harbor is always fun too….lots to see and a great way to spend a morning.

MADRONA MINDBODY INSTITUTE is a wonderful option for you during your stay in Port Townsend! You can participate in movement classes, Nia, Soul Motion, Meditation, Tai’ Chi, Drumming, and more. Check out the schedule at Madrona Mindbody Institute for classes and activities.

PORT TOWNSEND FILM INSTITUTE   is dedicated to bringing together great films, great filmmakers and the Port Townsend community. The third weekend of September, the institute hosts Port Townsend Film Festival, filling the town with people who love cinema and is one of our very favorite events of the entire year! CENTRUM In 2014, Centrum celebrates 41 years of workshops, performances, and festivals that bring world-class artists together with ardent participants in a full-immersion experience. Centrum sponsors Jazz Port Townsend, American Fiddle Tunes, Port Townsend Writer’s Conference, and Big Band as well as other artistic workshops. Find out more about Centrum events here!

WOODWORKING CLASSES If you are a woodworker or perhaps a woodworker wanna be, Port Townsend School of Woodworking will be of interest to you. They offer classes from beginning interest to advanced skillbuilding for men and women of all ages! When was the last time you did something for yourself? It is like going away to camp when you were a kid. Have fun, learn a new skill, and explore all that Port Townsend has to offer at the same time! THE MUSIC SCENE in Port Townsend is vibrant and offers many alternatives. Whether you like to dance, sit and listen some great jazz or blues, or enjoy classical music you will find something going on in Port Townsend!
